Long Covid and me

I wrote about my grim four months with Long Covid, and why being fit and healthy was not a perfect shield. On the Guardian.
Update: I am much better now. I attribute that to the passage of time, but also to me taking a combination of vitamins and minerals and two anti-histamines daily. I'd say I am fully recovered, except my breathing still whistles, and my fitness is a work in progress. But I no longer get those headaches and am profoundly grateful for that.

Reading about your experience with long Covid really puts into perspective how unpredictable recovery can be. It is not just the physical symptoms, but the mental adjustment that seems just as challenging. I found it interesting how you compared pacing yourself to planning something like a Glacier Bike Shuttle, where timing and energy matter more than speed. That balance between rest and effort makes a big difference. Thanks for sharing something so honest and personal.
