Both my publishers have been busy organizing activities to go along with publication. Granta Books are doing interesting things in the UK that I'll reveal on Thursday on publication day. In the U.S., my publishers Metropolitan Books, an imprint of Macmillan, have organized a blood drive in their offices! When I started thinking about this book several years ago, I wouldn't have expected to have been influential in actually drawing blood from publishing staff. So far nearly 60 people have signed up to give blood, which is bloody brilliant. And here is the Macmillan site for Nine Pints, too. Photos below are from when I gave blood here in Leeds
